The #5 Wye Turnout allows for smoother transitions between tracks during switching operations and accommodates locomotives and rolling stock with relatively long wheel bases. It can also be used to make a three point “wye” junction to redirect or turn locomotives around on more sophisticated railroad layouts.
This turnout is electrically gapped to meet the DCC specifications of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA).
Note: All analog turnouts (non-DCC) require 16V AC or DC accessory power supply for operation.
